Hi, I’m Dan Wourms, a multidisciplinary artist with a lifetime of creative exploration and a career that spans decades. Raised and educated in Grande Prairie, I attended the Fine Art program at the GPRC until purchasing a local gallery in my early 20s, where I had the privilege of representing my own work and supporting local artists in the northern region of Alberta. My journey has been fuelled by diverse passions: I’m a longtime painter, potter, illustrator and printmaker.

Currently, my focus is on gelli plate monoprinting. Monoprinting is a dynamic mixed-media cousin of screen printing. My work reflects an irreverent attitude, bold colors, and pop culture humour that brings each piece to life. Based in Treaty 6 territory, I continue to create and inspire in the vibrant tradition of the city I call home, Edmonton.
